--Antiphon
He comes in splendor, the King who is our peace; the whole world longs to see him.
--Galatians 4:4-5
When the designated time had come, God sent forth his Son born of woman, born under the law, to deliver from the law those who were subjected to it, so the we might receive our status as adopted sons and daughters.
--Reflection
God does not stop trying to reveal himself. To shepherds who could not read, he sent angels. To the Magi, stargazers, he gave a star. How does God reveal himself to me?
--Intercessions
You are the eternal Word of God who flooded the world with joy at your birth; fill me with joy by the continuous gift of your life.
Let the earth ring out with joy for you have come!
You saved me and by your birth revealed to me the covenant of faithfulness of the Lord, help me to be faithful to the promises of my baptism.
Let the earth ring out with joy for you have come!
You are the King of heaven and earth who sent messengers to announce peace to all, let my life be filled with your peace.
Let the earth ring out with joy for you have come!
You are the true vine that brings forth the fruit of live; make me a branch of the vine, bearing much fruit.
Let the earth ring out with joy for you have come!

December 24 - Anticipation
--Antiphon
The time has come for Mary to give birth to her firstborn Son.
--Isaiah 4:2
On that day, the branch of the Lord will luster and glory, and the fruit of the earth will be honor and splendor for the survivors of Israel.
--Reflection
Jesus is coming to my house tomorrow!! What do I still have to do to get my "house" in order and ready for his arrival?
--Intercessions
You came into the world heralding a new age foretold by the prophets, give your holy people the gift of renewal in every generation.
Let all see your glory!
You took on the weakness of our human condition, be light now for those who do not see, strength for those who waver and comfort for the troubled of heart.
Let all see your glory!
You were born into poverty and lowliness, look with favor on the poor and comfort them.
Let all see your glory!
By your birth bring joy to all peoples with the promise of unending life; give joy to the dying through the hope of heavenly birth.
Let all see your glory!
You came to earth to lead everyone into the kingdom, share you glory with all who have died.
Let all see your glory!

--Antiphon
Mary said: My soul is deeply troubled; what can this greeting mean?
--Haggai 2:6b, 9
One moment yet, a little while, and I will shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. Greater will be the future glory of this house than the former; and in this house I will give peace, says the Lord of hosts!
--Reflection
What are my plans to celebrate the gift of Christmas?
--Intercessions
Lord Jesus, by your coming you rescued the world from sin, cleanse my soul and body from guilt.
Emmanuel, be with me.
By the mystery of your incarnation I am made your brother… I am made your sister; do not let me become estranged from you.
Emmanuel, be with me.
Do not judge harshly those you redeemed with such great cost.
Emmanuel, be with me.
No age, O Christ, is without your goodness and holy riches, enable me to merit the enduring crown of your glory.
Emmanuel, be with me.

You came to recover what was lost, come once again with mercy.

December 20 - The True Shepherd
--Antiphon
The angel Gabriel was sent to the Virgin Mary, who was engaged to be married to Joseph.
--Ezekiel 34:15-16
I myself will pasture my sheep; I myself will give them rest, says the Lord God. The lost I will seek out, the strayed I will bring back, the injured I will bind up, the sick I will heal. Shepherding them rightly.
--Reflection
Who are the lost sheep? The answer - God's children who have not yet found their way into the fold of Jesus Christ. Am I “tending” God’s sheep so they will enjoy His Infinite Glory and dwell in his Holy presence?
--Intercessions
O Redeemer and Lord, by your birth as a man you freed me from the heavy yoke of the law, complete in me the works of your living kindness.
Come stay with me, Lord!
Grant the desire I ask of you today, inflame my heart with the fire of your love.
Come stay with me, Lord!
On earth I live with you by faith, in glory may I rejoice with you.
Come stay with me, Lord!
Steep the souls of the faithful departed in the dew of your loving kindness.
Come stay with me, Lord!

December 19 - God is coming!!!
--Antiphon
Like the sun in the morning sky, the Savior of the world will dawn; like rain on the meadows he will descend to rest in the womb of the Virgin, alleluia.
--Isaiah 13:22b, 14:1
Her time is near at hand and her days shall not be prolonged. The Lord has pity on Jacob and again chooses Israel.
--Reflection
God did not intend for us to walk alone in this life. What have I done and what am I doing so that I am serving those around me so they do not “walk alone”?
--Intercessions
Lord, may the world know your justice which the heavens proclaim, may your glory fill the earth.
Lord, I await your coming!
For me you took upon yourself the weakness of humans, protect me with the strength of your own divine life.
Lord, I await your coming!
Come to all who are imprisoned in darkness, show them the radiance of your own divine light.
Lord, I await your coming!
In your humility as a man, you took away my sin, now in your glory grant me true happiness.

December 18 - Believe in Him
--Antiphon
Let everything within you watch and wait for the Lord our God draws near.
--2 Thessalonians 1:6, 7, 10
Strict justice requires that God will provide relief to you who are sorely tried, as well as to us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, on the Day when he comes, to be glorified in his holy ones and adored by all who have believed.
--Reflection
As a Catholic I know something about God and His plan for saving mankind, but sometimes I do not act on this knowledge by receiving God's free gift of salvation. What can I do today so I can enter into His glory on the Last Day?
--Intercessions
Lord Jesus, in the mystery of your incarnation, you revealed your glory to the world, give me life by your coming.
My Savior is coming!
You have taken my weakness upon yourself, grant me your mercy.
My Savior is coming!
You redeemed the world from sin by your first coming in humility, free me from all guilt when you come again in glory.
