The Holy spirit will come upon you, Mary; you have no need to be afraid. You will carry in your womb the Son of God, alleluia.

Do this because you know the time; it is the hour now for you to awake from sleep. For our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed; the night is advanced, the day is at hand. Let us then throw off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light.

What must I do to be truly awake to the presence of Christ in my life?

Sanctify me in mind and body; keep me without sin until the coming of your Son.

Make me walk this day in holiness and live an upright and devout life in this world.

May I be clothed in our Lord Jesus Christ, and filled with the Holy Spirit.
