The First Sunday of Advent - Going through the motions

Today's reflection is particularly focused on the reading from Paul's letter to the Romans.

“You know the time; it is the hour now for you to awake…”. How much of our day is spent going through the motions; work, school, projects, chores, shopping, traveling? Wake up, look around; see the elderly person who would welcome a friendly hello; a child in need of “good job!” a waitress who smiles at a sincere “thank you”. Wake up!
