Memorial of St. Lucy, Virgin and Martyr
(Saturday of the Second Week of Advent)

Today's Readings:
Today's Reflection:

Elijah - Prophet; Enflame our hearts with your zealous words.
John - Proclaimer; Baptize us in the Jordan, wash away our sinfulness.
Saint Lucy - Martyr; Illuminate Winter’s approaching darkness.

Our Advent journey is one of making choices and enhancing our discernment of things that distract us.
Jesus’ conversation with his disciples reminds us to see God’s plan as a continuum.
Everything is transfigured when illuminated by the Light of Christ.
Silence and solitude make our hearts more sensitive to the Holy Spirit.
Be sure to make time in your busy holiday schedule for quiet reflection and prayer.
