December 4 – I am your God

Our God comes, born as man of David's line, enthroned as king for ever, alleluia.

Thus says the Lord:
His leader shall be of Jacob and his ruler shall come from his kin. When I summon him, he shall approach me. You shall be my people and I will be your God.

--Reflection
Is God really my "god" or have I substituted money, job, school, exercise, friends etc. for Him?

--Intercessions
Teach me, Lord, to love all others, as Christ loved me for God's glory.
Lord, may your name be glorified.

Fill me with all joy and peace in faith, that I may walk in hope and strength of the Holy Spirit.
Lord, may your name be glorified.

Help all humankind, Lord, in your loving mercy, to be near to all who seek you without knowing it.
Lord, may your name be glorified.

You call and sanctify the elect, though I am a sinner, crown me with eternal happiness.
